Cameren stomped up the stairs to her home, fuming about the fight she'd had. She just couldnt believe some vampire had tried to fry her brain! What the hell was up with that?! And now her beautiful clothes were torn. Her miniskirt had grass stains on it, as did her purple silk bouse. She could never wear these items of clothing again, that was for damn sure.
When she came to the front door, Cameren halted. She examined it for a minute, hating that it was blocking her way. In her current state, opening the door didnt seem like an agreeable option. So, naturaly, she just smashed the doors to smitherenes.
Cameren lept in the air and gave the door a flying kick that smashed it open with a very loud crach. Pieces of would and glass fell around her as she landed standing in a crouch in the front entry. A few pices of glass cut her calves and ankles, but she paid the injuries no mind, for they began to heal instantly.
From upstairs, Cameren heard the hiss of a cat and a book slam angirly closed. So Dusk was home, then. She looked up to the cieling and shouted to her sister,"I'll buy you a new one!" And then ran up the stairs into her bedroom before her sister could yell at her to change clothes. Right before she heard her own door close, she heard her sisters bedroom door open. Cameren locked the door, despite the fact that the wood, as she had just proven downstairs, would not contain a vampires stenght.

Dusk was reading Beowulf for the thousandth time, her cat Salemn purring at her feet when she heard her sisters approach to the house. Her footsteps sounded angry. "Oh dear," she murmured. setting her book down gently on her lap.
Salemn lifted his black head. "What is it--" he began, but was cut off by a largs crash downstairs. Salmn jumped and hissed at the sound. "Cameren," he growled with distaste. Salemn had never grown particulary fond of Cameren, and the feeling was mutual between them. Cameren couldnt stand the cat.
Dusk sighed angerily and slammed ber book closed. "I just fixed that gorram door!" she yelled at the floor. "I'll buy you a new one!" came the reply. Dusk stalked toward her bedroom door, ready to give her twin a pieve of her mind. But when she opened her door, Camerens was closing and the handle was locking. "You little witch!" Dusk hissed, but didnt bother banging on the door. Instead, she walked down stairs to inspect the damage her sister had done. "Jesus!" she cried. Glass and wood particles were lain all over the floor. Both doors were completely gone, leaving her home completely exposed to the outside worldd.
Salemn padded down the stairs. You are angry?" he asked Dusk. "Yes, Salemn," she replied with a sigh,"I am very angry." She sat down on the last step of the stairs, not feeling particulary inclined to move. "Then why do you not fight with her?" Salemn asked. "Because it does no good. She doesnt listen to me anyway. I'm just not up for yet another screaming match with her. Thats all we seem to do lately." she sighed again and stroked Salemn's soft fur. Then she went to the pantry to grab a broom to clean up her sisters mess. When she returned, she froze at the site of another vampire standing in her doorway.

Serena watched the girl disappear around the corner and followed her, stopping to sniff the walls every once in a while. Finally she came to this beautiful complex, and looked around. She came upon a house with the door smashed down Here we go. this has to be it. Serena thougth. She sniffed one more time and caught another scent... a familiar one too... she shook her head and told herself she was crazy. Serena quietly creeped up to the door, going the long way, through bushes and trees. When she reached it she heard someone coming down the stairs. Crap she thought as she dodged away, but right as she started moving she caught a whiff of the persons scent. It certainly wasn't the red headed twit she fought earlier... in fact it smelled like... Dusk? Serena said as she stepped out for the shadows and stood in the doorway. W-W-What are you doing here? She Asked stammering in her confusion. Serena had completely forgotten the Red head in those few momets.

Dusk sighed in relief when she realized it was Serena at her doorway. "What am I doing here?" she asked her friend with a luagh, "Serena, this is my house."
Salemn trotted over to the woman. "Hello Serena." he purred. Dusk didnt bother translating the cats greeting; it was pretty obvious what he ment to say. Salemn had taken an immediate liking to the vampire when he'd first seen her, many years ago. He continued purring and brushed himself on the womans legs. The black cat then turned its head back to Dusk and said with distaste, "She smells of Cameren."
Are you sure? Dusk asked her cat, using her telepathic voice. It could just be the house. Cameren did just knock down the doors, after all."Positive. She reeks of it, actually." the cat replied. "Cant mistake that. She's definitatly been around your sister."
"So I take it you've met my sister, Cameren," Dusk said with a smirk, looking from the cat back to her friend. It explained why the little red head had been in such a foul mood when she's gotten home. The two must have faught ."Short stuff, with red hair like mine?"
Her eyes traveled back to Salemn, who was still rubbing up against Serena's legs. He was a large cat, even for a tom. He had a very muscular build to, with fine, soft clack hair. He was really marvolous to look at. All of the creatures movements were with grace. A fiercome predator, dangerous and stealthy despite his size. "You guys get in a fight or something?" she asked Serena, still looking at the cat with a grin still attached to her face.

What? ....nice house. She slowly looked down to see Salem, one of the many cats who had quickly become attached to her. She bent down to pick him up with a swift easiness, He was BIG cat. Maybe smaller than the size of a medium bobcat, but he still held the same grace and magnificence as a full size one did. She petted his silky black fur while he and Dusk looked at each other, telepathically talking, she guessed.
She Shifted her head to look at Dusk, as she started talking. Serena laughed quietly at the sudden realization of how similar the two looked. Serena had completely forgotten what had happened only, what thirty forty minutes ago, with the stupid red headed snob brain. She nodded and said Short, with hair like you. Sounds about right.
Serena followed Dusks eyes to salem, who she had just set down, and was once again rubbing on her legs. She heard dusk askYou guys get in a fight or something?
Serena Nodded slightlyYa, she is actually quite a thing to fight with. ... tell me.... what is her power? She responds a look of confusion and a little bit of hatred entering her eyes. She walked over to the couch and sat down on the edge of the arm, and waited for an answer.

"Her power?" Dusk asked quizzically. "She, um, picks up on memories a person leaves. Sees what they saw and all that jazz. Why do you ask?"
"Did she hurt you?" Salemn growled, looking up at Serena. "I could rip up her clothes if you want. She hates it when I do that." He flexed his claws on the floor. Dusk rolled her eyes. Yes, because thats what we need in this house, another fight. "Salem wants to know if Cameren hurt you?"
Salemn then trotted back over to Dusk, and began to purr loudly. "Im hungry," He said to Dusk, and she replied back with a small laugh," Well, then you should go eat." "But I dont like the cat food." "Thats really not my problem, Salemn. If you dont like the food, then go hunt." Dusk replied with another smirk. "Im to tired to hunt. Cant you just give me tuna?" You're out of luck. I dont have any tuna."" "Fine." Salemn sighed.
Instead of going off and eating, he just trotted over to the couch and layed on the back, next to Serena. Dusk joined them only a second later, setting down her broon on the stairs. "Sorry about that. Salemn was being a tad obnoxious for a second."
"Was not," the cat grumbled, his tail flicking irritably.

Serena heard dusk, reply what Cameron's power was and her eyes cleared insistently cleared of all confusion. [glow=red,2,300]"I ask because- it appears as if your sisters power can thwart mine." She said smirking at Dusk. [/glow]
Serna noticed Salem looking up at Serena growling, then dusk turned her eyes towards him and narrowed them a bit. "Salem wants to know if Cameren hurt you?" Serena shook her head and said looking back and forth at the cat [glow=red,2,300]"No. She didn't hurt me. It ended before i could get more than a few scrapes on my knee."[/glow] Serena had gotten better at not feeling to awkward when dusk asked her a question which came from the cat. She always felt obliged to talk to both of them at the same time. Dusk because, she was the one to verbalize it, but it was Salem to actually ask it.
Salem then walked over to dusk and the two of the started communing about...cat food? From what Serena gathered from Dusk side of the conversation, it sounded like Salem was complaining about the cat food. Serena felt a small smile appear on her lips. Salem is such a strange, yet probably perfectly normal cat.
Salem walked over to Serena and sat next to her, Serena reached a hand out and petted the cats silky fur.
"Sorry about that. Salemn was being a tad obnoxious for a second."
Serena looked down at Salem just in time to see his tail twitch side to side. "I don't think Salem agrees with you about that"

"I ask because- it appears as if your sisters power can thwart mine." Serena replied. Oh. That made sense. And Dusk wasn't too terribly surprised either. Of course Camerens power would block Serena's. She could probably latch on to her own memories, thwarting any attempts Serena made to influence her mind.
Both twins had been blessed with a supernatural power beyond that of the already heightened abilities of a vampire. Cameren, as Dusk had stated before, could pick up the memories of a certain place at any time, as long as she was standing extremely close to the place the memory had occurred. She couldn't take a memory from a person themselves, it didn't work like that. But if she was walking through a place where someone else had been, she would receive the memories of that person. How they felt, which way they moved. How intensely and vividly she could see the memory depended on how strong the emotion was, how powerful the persons aura is, and how long ago the memory occurred.
Dusk's power was a lot simpler. She could communicate with cats, obviously. Mentally, telepathically, she could talk to them. Just cats, though. She'd already tried extending her power to another animal, a dog, and it hadn't worked. So now there were always cats running around the house, most of them strays. They hardly ever stayed long, just came by to eat and then they were off. Salemn, however, had stuck around, and he and Dusk had become close friends.
When Serena petted Salemn's fur, he he began to purr. "I don't think Salem agrees with you about that" Serena said, and Dusk smirked.
"I knew there was a reason I liked her," Salemn said to Dusk. "She's a very nice woman."
I know she is. Thats why she's my friend, Salemn. She's my friend too, Salemn replied, using his own telepathic voice this time. He hadn't used a defensive tone, just simply stating a fact. Yes, I suppose she is.
"Yes, well, Salemn doesn't agree with me on a lot of subjects. Doesn't mean he's right, though." Dusk replied. Salemn didn't respond. Dusk turned her full attention back to Serena.
"So, how has life been treating you lately? Nasty fights with my sister aside."
