------------------------------------------------------------------"We are young, we have heart, Born in this world as it all falls apart!" ******************************************* Alice drove through the city, towards Main Station. A local contact of hers had told her that there was a group of humans near there, and the group was forever growing. Alice wanted to check this out for herself. If there was a large group of humans still surviving, she wanted to know who was taking charge, who the person was that was keeping these people alive. The biggest group of people Alice had seen ever was about five, and that had been run by a girl called Holly or something. Alice had forgotten, it had been a while ago and she'd been busy lately. Her hideout had been attacked a few days ago by a vampire that had wanted her for blood, but she'd sorted him out. She was trained, she had guns with wooden bullets. She'd found that they might kill a vampire with enough bullets, or just stun them until she could get a stake or something pointy through their heart. She was forever thinking up new weapons and using them against vampires. Sometimes she went looking for a vampire so she could try out her new weapon.
Alice was on her bike, and it was barely making a whisper as she raced through the city. She'd modified it so it went faster and was quieter. She looked to tinker with things like weapons and her bike. It was a love she'd shared with her uncle before he'd died. She was wearing a full body leather suit, which would protect her if she ever fell off, which she hadn't so far. There was a shotgun with wooden bullets strapped to her back and a regular hand gun on her left thigh. Even though she had weapons, she couldn't resist a good fight. If her weapon was ever knocked from her hand, she knew how to keep herself alive with her fighting skills. Her Aunt and Uncle had taught her everything... and then they died, leaving her alone... again. Alice blinked back tears as she drove at the thought of her Aunt and Uncle. She'd lost them just like she'd lost her parents and it still hurt, even after all these years.
Come on, Alice, she thought to herself as she lent to the left as she turned left. The past is the past, you can't change it, god knows you've tried.
When Alice got to Main Station, she parked her bike and stood up. It was the middle of the day, so the vampires were sleeping or whatever they did in the day, she'd come across a vampire or too in the day. But she was always careful, one of her traits. If you stuck around with her, you'd know she was careful. Not that many people stuck around with her, and not that she let anyone stick around with her. She liked to work alone, because she feared that if she made friends or even a lover, they would die. Death seemed to follow her around and ruin her lives on several accasions. She didn't care, she stopped caring about that years ago. Death was part of life, but she was sure 'Death by Vampire' wasn't life, that was just murder.
She glanced around Main Station and pulled off her helmet, letting herself breath properly. She'd travelled a long way to get here and it got stuffy in that helmet after a while. She set it on top of her seat on the bike and cracked her neck before glancing around, looking for anything that might point her towards the group of humans that was meant to be here.

Katherine basically sprinted out of the main station. She didn't know what she was running from or from who, but she was running.
That was a lie, Katherine knew what she was running from, he was running away from her thoughts, from the pressure, from the death.....
It was pressure being in charge, everyone looked to you for help, but how were you supposed calm down an entire community when you yourself was a complete mess?
Her head was always clear, never clouded, but today was different. Today nothing seemed to make sense. And it wasn't helping that everyone else was in a giant ball of mess and coming to her with there concerns. Why couldn't they just shut up? Did they just assume she could handle every little thing thrown at her.
She closed her eyes, seeing the same image over and over again. She saw the bloodless body, and the torn up body. This was the exact reason she didn't get personal deaths happened all the time. In todays world a death was nothing, you just had to shrug it off, it was the only thing to do. And Katherine was good at that.
But this one was different. Adam had somehow crept under her skin, she had known him as a real person than just a body that had to be protected.
Katherine didn't realize it till this moment now, she didn't realize till the tears started pouring down her face that she had actually cared for him. And not just in the way she did for all humanity, but she cared for him in a way people that.... loved did.
And she had been stupid, she had spent all this time pushing him away, making sure he couldn't get under her skin, but he did. And now it's to late. Now she'll never get the chance to tell him that she actually cared.
She was stupid, very very stupid. She couldn't get the image of his dead body out of her brain! Why was she so stupid to fall for him, now he was dead. And Katherine was broken.

------------------------------------------------------------------"We are young, we have heart, Born in this world as it all falls apart!" ******************************************* Alice wondered how she could find the humans. She couldn't shout, that would alert any nearby vampires to her position, but she could look. But who knows where they could be! She'd known some people to hide their entrances to their hideouts. She did it with her hideout, before it had been distroyed. Her hand was near her gun on her leg, she wasn't going to take any chances if their was a vampire out here.
ALice spun around, wrenching the gun from the holster when she heard a door open. The gun was at shoulder length, one hand around the butt of the gun, finger on the trigger with the other hand cupping the bottom of the gun, aiming perfectly at the person that had just run out. It was a woman, someone Alice had never seen before. She looked like she was.... crying?! Alice didn't like to see other people cry, it unnerved her for some reason, even though she would have a good cry sometimes. It made her feel better. She wondered what had happened to make the woman cry, maybe there were vampires in there, killing her friends or something, or maybe her boyfriend had broken up with her. Alice's heart sunk at the word boyfriend, she had never had one since every boy seemed to be a vampire. And even when she had been a kid, there had been a boy that her Aunt and Uncle had found, but he didn't tell them that he had been bitten, and 24 hours later he became a vampire and disappeared before we could kill him. Alice was sad at the fact that she'd never touched love, but she guessed it was because she was scared to let someone into her heart, incase she lost them. She had gone through a lot of pain in her life, and it never got easier for her. She would forever bare the guilt of not being able to save her Aunt and Uncle.
"Hey?" Alice called, lowering her gun but not putting it away. "Are you okay?
Alice was standing not far from the woman, even so she called her voice slightly. She had a weird voice that croaked a little when she used a low voice, but she could stop that if she wanted, and she did, unless she was being really serious, which was most of the time. Although she did love to have a laugh as the next person, but lately, there had been nothing for her to laugh at. She kept her eyes on the woman, narrowing them a little bit, the gun tight in her hand.

Katherine jumped, startled at the noise. She spun around, shoacked to see she was facing what she could only pray was a human woman. Normally Katherine would have dettected her from a mile away, how was it that she was able to sneak up on her life that? Oh that's right, her mind was in the clouds! All the coaos that had been happening made her weak, made it impossiable to think.
That was they very reason she pushed people away, she didn't like getting personal, she did her best to avoid knowing people on a personl level for this very reason.
The woman pointed her gun at her. If that was a vampire, she would have been dead by now. If you left your guard down for 3 seconds you would be dead.
Katherine eyed the girl carfully, trying to return to her normal self, the hunter. The girl was much bigger than Kath ( but then again, so was everyone). At first glance Katherine was a joke. She was very petite, and sweet looking, she looked as if she need protection. But the truth was that was quite the opposite, Kath was anything but. Sometimes she was even mistaken as a teenaged girl, Kath just laughed and used that to her advantage. In battle nobody would expect her to fight, they usually left there gaurd down, making them that much eaiser to destroy.
The woman slowly lowered her gun, resassuring Kath that she was in fact a human. The woman asked if she was okay. "I'm fine," Kath snaped. "The better question is who are you? And what are you doing here?" Katherine asked curiously.
This sure was turning out to be one crazy day. She really hoped nothing drastic was oing to happen. She was in no state of mind to take action.

” Til there´s nothing left of her Let's watch this city burn the world.”*********************************************$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ********************************************* Alice watched the woman whirl around, a little shocked at finding her there. If this was a vampire hunter, she sure didn’t look like one. At first glance Alice might even mistake her for a child, a teenager, but when she glanced at her face she saw that she was older than she looked, Alice could tell. A little trick of hers, and living in a world like this would age even the youngest of people. She’d once met a fifteen year old who had acted and thought like a twenty five year old. But that’s what vampires did to you, they changed you, Alice was a prime example for that.
"I'm fine. The better question is who are you? And what are you doing here?" the woman asked.
Wow, someone who actually got to the point without an awkward twenty minute conversation on the weather or something. Very weird, Alice didn’t usually come across people like this. The woman had an air of authority about her through the way she spoke. Alice wondered if she was the head or something of the group of humans she was trying to find around here. More than that, the woman didn’t look dangerous, it was Alice who was dangerous. She grinned to the woman.
”You tell me your name and I’ll tell you mine,” she responded, putting her gun back in its holster and strapping it into place. ”And I’m here on business.”
Alice still wasn’t sure of this woman, and probably wouldn’t be until she got to know her. Alice sometimes had a problem trusting new people and sometimes it was a bad thing because she could get them killed that way. She tried to make quick decisions on people after knowing the basics of them, that may be a bad thing, but it helped her in whether she trusted them or not. She had had trust issues ever since the little boy her Aunt and Uncle had brought into their hide out had turned out to be a vampire. She knew she shouldn’t let this spoil her future, but she couldn’t help but think of him whenever she thought about this stuff. She even thought that maybe that little vampire had told the vampires that had killed her Aunt and Uncle where their hideout had been. But she couldn’t think about that, the past was the past and she could never change it, or she would bring back both her Aunt and Uncle, and her parents. *********************************************$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ *********************************************” And they put amphetamines In the air and make me breathe!” Lyrics: City by Hollywood Undead Word Count: 417 Anything Else:YOU SPENT TOO LONG REPLYING! xD Joke… [/center]

The woman slid her gun back in her holester making Katherine relieved. Atleast this meant she wasn't going to try anything stupid. Katherine still eyes her speculatively as she did every new comer to her hideout. She always took precaution and liked to anylize everyone.
Of course Kath would welcome everyone into the hideout with open arms. Why wouldn't she? This was a sanctuary of peace..... or at least trying to. She was trying to make this a place where humans can live in peace, no vampires. But she liked being careful with who, she needed to at least know the person wouldn't but her entire community in harms way.
"I'm Katherine. Your turn." Kath finally said after staring at the woman, trying to seize her up.
She didn't look like she was here to cause any trouble. But Katherine was anxious to know what "business" she was here for. "Define business." She said needing to know more. If it had to do with anything about the human hideout, it was linked derecity to her, wasn't?
OCC- sush...... I know...... it takes me forever.

"And they put amphetamines in the air and make me breathe!” -----------------------------------------------------------------*******************************************-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I'm Katherine. Your turn,” Katherine said to Alice. Alice raised one eyebrow at this woman. Katherine! Hang on, the Katherine? The one she had heard about, that led the band of humans she was looking for? What were the chances that the first person she would meet here was the one person she was looking for?
”My name is Alice,” she told her, her tone of voice matching Katherine’s. Alice was getting the bad-ass vibe from this woman, but right now it was blocked by the fact that only two minutes ago she had seen her crying. That didn’t exactly say I’m-Tough!
"Define business," Katherine said.
Alice sighed, time to get talking.
”I came here because I heard about a human hideout which you, Katherine Hawke, lead. I was wondering if you need any help since that is what I do. I offer help to all humans, people in groups or people out of their own,” Alice told her in a dull tone. ”That’s why I’m here. You got a problem with that?”
Alice placed her hands on her hips. If this woman did have a problem, she wouldn’t care, many people had turned her away, and then she’d seen them months later, being dragged off or walking around as a vampire. Things like that happened all the time to Alice, just some of the people who refused her help – and that wasn’t many – became dinner or became the one thing they had been fighting off year after year for a long time.

Katherine almost smiled. Her mood slightly lifting. Her guard was still of course up, after it was down for those few minutes of weakness. But Kath knew she didn't really have to worry about her that much. She wasn't here to cause harm, Kath could tell.
She had cases where humans had come here and had completely screwed her over and kept putting the entire community in danger. Lily sure was a handful Kath thought, remembering how she had to whip her ass into shape. Or then there was Oscar who wanted to take everything over but just fucked everything!
The girl introduced herself as Alice. Well Alice didn't look like she would do any of that. But you could never tell. Only time would.
"So I guess news travels fast, huh? Well yes, I am that Katherine and you have came to the right place." It made Kath happy to know how succeful her community was coming along if people were talking about it. Her goal was to bring the world back, and she will die trying.
"Well it's nice to meet you Alice, but I don't need any help really, we're doing fine," Plus Katherine was ever one to take help. She hated it, she refused it, she could do it by herself. "But thanks for offering, you are welcome to stay though. Always trying to expand our little home." Kath said smiling. .

"And they put amphetamines in the air and make me breathe!” -----------------------------------------------------------------*******************************************-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So I guess news travels fast, huh? Well yes, I am that Katherine and you have came to the right place." Katherine said.
Alice smiled slightly. She was happy she’d found the right place, it could have been quite embarrassing if she’d come to the wrong place. Well, more than just embarrassing. And Alice hated to be embarrassed. Especially in this day and age.
”Yeah, news does travel fast, in the human population that is,” Alice said to her. ”Am I correct that no vampires know about this place?”
"Well it's nice to meet you Alice, but I don't need any help really, we're doing fine. But thanks for offering, you are welcome to stay though. Always trying to expand our little home." she said to her, smiling.
”I won’t be staying here long,” Alice said, smiling back. ”I don’t stay in one place too long, you see. But I’ll leave you with my number so you can call me if you need me when I leave. Always happy to help.”
Alice brushed her hair out of her face and pulled her bike keys out of her pocket. She looped her finger through the metal key chain and began to spin it around her finger, it becoming almost a blur. She always did this, it was a bad habit of hers, especially when she was thinking. It kept her hands busy whilst her mind was busy. She glanced back at her bike and sighed a little, thinking deeply about this place.
”Is this place secure?” she asked, turning back to Katherine, still twirling the keys. She didn’t stay any place that wasn’t secure, although she was sure Katherine had secured it, she still wanted to know, just to be on the safe side.

Kath used to live like that. Running away from the world. Never staying in the same place for over two days. But Kath realized that was selfish. And welcome to the Hideout.
It took a while for Kath to get used to the idea of staying in one place. Sometimes she still gets those feelings. The urges to run away and just be alone. But that would be unfair to everyone else. She was a leader, leaders didn't runaway from their problems. No matter how much she wanted to, right now was an example of that. She wanted to run and never return.
"well if you ever change your mind, you are welcome to stay here.
Thanks for the offer, I'l make sure to remember that." Although Kath highly doubted that she would ever need it. She liked to do things all by herself.
”Is this place secure?” Alice asked.
"Of course it is." Kath said nearly laughing. That was something she was proud of. "Not one single vamp" sighting.

"And they put amphetamines in the air and make me breathe!” -----------------------------------------------------------------*******************************************-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ”Well if you ever change your mind, you are welcome to stay here,” Katherine told Alice. Alice glanced at the station, it didn’t look too bad of a place, if anything it looked like a good place to stay. But Alice wasn’t the sort of person to stay in one place too long, she got bored, and if vampires knew you were there, then they never came that way, and if Alice didn’t get at least one kill or a fight a month, she would punch someone who pissed her off.
”Thanks, I might do,” she told Kathy, grinning to her.
”Thanks for the offer, I'l make sure to remember that." Katherine said to her about her offer to call her if they ever needed her.
”Okay, just keep it in mind,” Alice told her. ”I’m always a good person in a crisis.” She was, she was able to keep a cool, stable mind in any crisis, sudden attack of vampires or other. She wondered what Katherine was like in a situation like that.
"Of course it is. Not one single vamp sighting,” Katherine said, answering her question. She said it quite proudly, which any person would if they could say that they had a stable place that no vampire was around, that no vampire was ever seen near it.
”That’s good,” Alice said, nodding to her. ”You don’t find many of these places in the world any more. They’re hard to come by. How do you keep it vampire free? Crosses? What?
