***** Elizabeth's back slammed up against the tree. The impact winded her, and she had to hold back a cry of pain. She was already wounded as it was; there was a large piece of glass stuck in her stomach, and she had dozens of cuts and bruises from wrestling with her attacker that were still in the process of healing. Never in her life had she been so vulnerable. Lizzie was going to lose this fight, and she knew it. This man was going to kill her. Instead of fear, Lizzie's reaction to this thought was pure anger. No one outsmarted her. She was the best. And if she was going to die, this son of a bitch was going down with her. End of story. She hit the ground hard, but recovered quickly, her newfound hatred for the man fueling her strength. She stood up, and then dropped into a hunter's crouch. "Okay, you son of a bitch. I'm done playing with your sorry ass. Just make this easier on yourself and let me kill you already." She growled. The man smirked, and stalked toward her, replying smoothly, "Now now, Annabel, thats now how a proper lady should act." He scolded, using the her fake name that Carlos had given her. "Fuck you."This was supposed to be an easy assignment. The vampire, Parker Richard, had large amounts of money deposited in his bank account recently, and no one knew why. Billions of dollars don't randomly show up out of nowhere. So Lizzie had been sent to check it out. There shouldn't have been any complications. The government she worked for had a very detailed file on him, so Lizzie had basically known this man inside and out before meeting Parker. She'd learned everything about him from that file. Unfortunately, what the file failed to mention was that Parker was a complete psychopath, and strong as hell. After she'd seduced him, he'd gone completely wacko. Somehow that bastard had managed to drug her, and then bring her out to these woods. When she'd woken up, Elizabeth had been in complete agony. There was a large shard of glass lodged in her stomach, restricting her movement and rendering her unable to get up. But she didn't cry, or scream. Lizzie wouldn't give him the satisfaction.Parker had pulled her to her knees then, and had started attacking her throat with his tongue. She had still been trying to gather her wits at that point, and had barely managed not to gag. After he'd been at it for a few minutes, Elizabeth had finally collected herself enough to grab a rock and smash it into his face. What happened after that was pretty obvious. They fought, and Parker had eventually ended up throwing Lizzie about fifteen feet away from him, twenty feet high, smashing into a tree. The wounds wouldn't heal as fast as they normally would, due to them being inflicted by wood. Lizzie yanked the glass out of her stomach, grinding her teeth together against the agony that seared through her, coloring her vision red. She couldn't let him see how much pain she was really in, how weak she really was. But her efforts were in vain. Parker lunged. She tried to duck out of the way, but Elizabeth wasn't quick enough. He was on top of her. "Calm down, Annabel. You're only going to make this harder on yourself, sweetie. Just relax... "He said, pinning her down by sitting on her, and stroking her hair soothingly. She tried to wriggle free, but it was useless. For the first time in her life, Elizabeth had been rendered helpless. ***** Word Count:602 Muse: Charmed <3 Clothes: Click! Vera ran full tilt towards the two strangers. She had been out on the off chance that some humans were hiding in the forest but this was much more serious. At first Vera had thought that the guy was raping the girl, in which case she would have intervened anyway, but when the girl pulled the glass out of her Vera started running. Bastard. She thought. Of course, there was the possibility that the woman deserved what she was getting, but that thought was not allowed to enter her head at the moment. The point was that the girl was going to die if someone didn't do something fast, that was certain.
Vera saw that the guy was totally focused on the girl. That was good, then he wouldn't be ready for her attack. She slammed into him as hard as she could, and with the velocity that she had built up and her own not-insubstantial strength, it was not surprising that the force threw the bastard into the closest tree. Vera looked down at the girl, no not girl, she was much closer to Vera's age than at first glance. She was eighteen at least, if not older. Vera's attention was diverted as the bastard jumped on her back. Goddamn it. Vera thew the bastard over her head and picked up the piece of glass that had been lodged in the victim's stomach. It wouldn't kill him but it would hopefully stop him from trying to kill anybody before she could figure out what the hell was going on. Maybe she shouldn't get involved in this, maybe she should just mind her own business. Of course not. I never have before, why start now? The thought reassured her as she drove the glass into the bastard's chest, missing his heart but puncturing at one of his lungs very badly.
"You goddamn son of a bitch!" She yelled at him, partly for attacking her from behind, and also for every thing else that was wrong with this scene that was obviously his doing. Vera expressed her anger and hatred that build up within her from just seconds in his company with four good punched to his face and breaking his nose and ribs. She knew it wouldn't do much good, but she needed to vent and he was the most convenient punching bag. She was usually a very good judge of character and this guy raised heaps of alarm bells, but that might be just because of the situation. She looked back at him. No, this was definitely a bad egg. Reluctant to turn her back on him Vera called over her shoulder to the woman behind her. "Do you need urgent medical assistance? I'm not a doctor, but you look fairly messed up."

***** Elizabeth's agony was increasing by the minute, the second. Her entire body was searing with fa furious pain that would not stop, and the man on top of her wasn't helping. Her wounds couldn't heal themselves if he was putting all his weight on top her the way she was. The way this was going, she was going to bleed out and denigrate. And then the impossible happened. There was another woman, roughly Elizabeth's age, talking Parker, knocking him into the nearest tree, and, more importantly, off of her. She gasped for breath as the pressure was lifted, coughing violently. Oh, god, she could breathe! There was still air left in the world! For a moment, Elizabeth had been convinced that air had been taken away from the Earth as a punishment for failing this task. But it was still there, coming in and out of her lungs with a violent force. If Lizzie had ever felt gratitude for another living being, she was defiantly feeling grateful for this woman now. She lay gasping on the ground, cringing against the pain as her muscles and flesh began to weave themselves back together. Dimly, Lizzie was aware, that the other girl, the one who had probably just saved her life, was now fighting for her own life against Parker. She would have helped the other woman out, as she knew how tough Parker was to handle- obviously-, but she couldn't move yet, and she couldn't see either. Her vision had gone blurry. But even as she registered her wounds, they were healing, and she was feeling less pain by the minute. "You goddamn son of a bitch!" Elizabeth heard the girl yell. Understatement, in Lizzie's opinion. He was more than a son of a bitch. But at the moment, no worse sentiments could come to mind to describe what a slime he was. Elizabeth finally got control of her coughing, and rolled over, wincing as she did so, so she could see Parker and his new attacker. "Do you need urgent medical assistance? I'm not a doctor, but you look fairly messed up." the woman asked her. "No..." Elizabeth responded weakly. Medical attention wouldn't actually be necessary, as her wounds were healing themselves, but that hadn't been what she had been referring to. "Parker is... look out behind you!" she shouted horsely to the woman as the slime ball named Parker lunged at her back. ***** Word Count:399 Muse: Charmed <3 Clothes: Click! Vera just had time to heed the woman's warning before the guy, who was obviously Parker, was on her. Crap. Vera felt the chunk of glass drive into her back disgustingly while it was still lodged in his chest. Once again, she managed to get Parker over her head and onto the ground, ignoring the stab wound as it was already starting to heal. Not very quickly, as most of her energy was being used for fighting, but it wasn't anything to worry about. Before he could get up she darted to a nearby tree and swiftly broke off a branch that was a little under half a foot long. The wood was digging into her palm and hurting her, but she realized a kill or be killed situation when it arose. Parker needed to die or neither herself or the strange woman she had saved were going to walk away.
She managed to just get to him before he could run, but it was a struggle. He grabbed hold of her wrists and fought to drive her improvised stake into her own torso instead. God, he was strong. She didn't know how long she could prevent him from impaling her let alone if she kill him. How did I get into this mess? Because she refused to mind her own business.
Still struggling, she called over her shoulder to the woman. "A little help, here?"

***** Elizabeth never understood why the healing process always more agonizing then actually receiving the injury. Maybe it had to do with the flesh trying to wind itself back together, forcing other parts to briefly tear apart. Nut whatever it was, it hurt like hell, and Lizzie was enduring that at the same moment the other woman was trying to stab Parker with a stick. Elizabeth smirked through her pain as she thought about that. Seriously, a stick? Was that the best weapon she could possible come up with? Jeez, this girl needed training. Badly. They were surrounded by a forest, for Christs sake. A puny stick wasn't going to cut it. Not that Lizzie was one to talk, really. Who was the one who had almost gotten raped by the big scary man, here? The wound in Lizzie's chest finally finished healing, at least to the point she could actually see again. Her muscles were sore, but at least she could move now. She began to lift herself off the ground, again grinding her teeth against the pain. "A little help, here?" The other lady called over to her. Elizabeth smirked. "My pleasure", she growled. And then lunged at Parker, knocking him to the ground away from the other woman. "The hell-?" he said before Elizabeth snapped his neck with ease. Then, moving quickly because she knew the vertebra was already trying to position itself back into place, she ran to the nearest three, and snapped a large branch off the tree. Jumping back over to him, she rammed the sharp end into his heart the exact second his neck snapped back into place. She saw and enjoyed the far in his eyes as he died. Then she crawled away from the large, and now dead, man. after she was a good five feet away from him, her limbs collapsed out from under her. "Thank you." She called loudly to the other vampire. Never in her life had she uttered those words to anyone before. Her entire existence was exterminating life, nothing more. She had never required someone else's help before. The words felt bitter on her lips. Lifting herself up in a sitting position, she continued talking to the woman, "Are you okay? I saw the glass go through you..."***** Word Count:377 Muse: Charmed <3 Clothes: Click! Anything Else:^_^

Vera watched, the adrenalin pumping through her, as the other woman quickly knocked Parker away and managed to snap his neck and stab him just before he healed with ease that put her crude fighting to shame. Jesus, I've gotta take self-defense lessons. In fact the practiced skill with which the other vampire had dispatched of the bastard was close to frightening. Yet she had relished the last lingering fear in Parker's eyes. Death was too good for that monster.
But Vera only had time to think that before the adrenalin stooped flowing and her body got down to agonizingly healing itself properly. She fell to her knees with the pain. Her back was on fire and she clenched her teeth together, knowing better than to scream. Now that the obvious danger had passed she was hit with the full force of the healing process. It effectively blinded her with the red wash of hurt, and pumped though her veins. The whole thing lasted only slightly longer than usual, due to her not being in the best circumstances. Still, it did end and, once she regained her sight, Vera noticed the other woman lying someway away. She also caught the thanks that seemed to grate from the other vampire's mouth. "My pleasure." Vera intentionally quoted the woman.
The woman pulled herself into a sitting position and Vera got up and half-staggered over to her so that they didn't have to shout and maybe alert any other psychos nearby. She always got a bit paranoid after a fight, maybe it was because she didn't engage in them all that often. She flopped down next to the woman, feeling slightly exhausted after the battle. "Are you okay? I saw the glass go through you..." Vera waved off this concern with an; "I'll be fine." Then turned to look at the woman. "I'm Vera." She said, holding out her hand.

***** She ran a bloody hand through her hair, staining the silk-like golden strands red. Lizzie looked down at her shirt, which was now a deep red from her own blood, the darkest spots being in the middle from the glass that had been lodged in her stomach. Damn, that was new shirt too. "I'll be fine." The other vampire said to Lizzie, plopping down next to her. Lizzie nodded. She noticed that the other vampire looked about the same frozen-in-time age that Lizzie was, about eighteen or so. Her true age, though, was unknown, and as Lizzie knew, would be impossible to tell unless the girl said so. Oh, the power of immortality. Wrinkles would never be a problem this chick or Lizzie would ever have to face. "I'm Vera." She heard. and she cast a sideways glance at the vampire before answering, debating for a moment which name to give her. On one hand, Elizabeth was still on assignment, and therefore should say her name is Annebel. On the other hand, however, she hated that name, as it was much to... weak a name for her. To Daisy-like. She hated frilly names. She wasn't even to fond of her own name, but it would be way to much needless work to change it. "Elizabeth." she responded simply. She was fond of breaking rules, especially lately, so she figured a little name-giving wouldn't hurt anybody. And if it did, she could always kill this Vera girl. "Not that I don't appreciate the help," Lizzie began thoughtfully," but what are you doing here? I'm pretty sure that Parker brought me here because he thought it was deserted."***** Word Count:Didnt count. Muse:None Clothes: Click! Anything Else: Sorry it took forev. And its really short.
